Is there AC?

Yes! All campsites currently have air conditioning keeping things much cooler than it is outside.

Is there a bathroom?

Yes! unlike regular camping you don’t have to use the bathroom in the woods and no need to bring your own camp shower! We offer an upscale outhouse with saw dust compost toilet, hot water shower that you can adjust temperature to your liking. We also include natural plant based shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dish soap, hand soap and designated dish washing scrubbers specifically for cast iron.

how do you use the compost toilet?

the compost toilet for the tents and tree house are essentially a freshly lined bucket with saw dust inside of a box and toilet seat and lid. you will notice a the seat is separated with a plastic diverter that separates liquids from solids, this keeps the toilet fresh. we recommend adding shavings and/or water to each designated area per use. we provide plenty of pine shavings, extra bags and toilet paper as well as a refreshing scented spray. The bag can be replaced whenever you feel it needs to be replaced, most people only need to change it every couple of days. At the end of the stay the toilet bag is to place tied and place in the provided trash can.

Is firewood included?

We provide enough hand cut, seasoned, dried firewood for about one complementary fire. We also provide lighters and fire starting sticks. For your convenience, there is additional firewood available for purchase at each site for $10 per bundle of 6. you are also more than welcome to bring your own or pick it up from the local grocery store or hardware store.

Are the canoes included?

Yes! The canoes are already available at each campsite on the water that has included lake access. You do not need to request the use of these items, they are already waiting for you at your campsite. For our other campsites we provide shared access to canoes.

Do the tents stay warm enough in the Winter?

Yes! Each tent and tree house has a propane gas fireplace or a wood burning stove. These keep the tents plenty warm even in below freezing temperatures. We provide video instructions for how to use these fireplaces to make it as simple as possible. We also provide warm bedding and extra warm blankets. The out houses are not heated and the showers have to be turned off during the hours of below freezing temperatures.

Can you fish in the lake?

Yes, you can fish in the lake! You can expect to catch bass of all sizes. We do encourage catch and release please.

Are there places on the property to hike?

We want to allow optimum privacy to all campsites so we do not allow guests to venture freely on the property. As of now, the best places to walk are on the main 1/2 mile driveway. There are also wonderful hiking spots at nearby parks like yellow river and stone mountain park and arabia mountain.

How close are the campsites to each other?

You can not see the campsites at all in the spring, summer or fall months. They are several hundred feet from each other. You can slightly see lake tent and cove from the tree house if you look really hard in the winter. You might be able to see string lights from a distance at night but they give optimum privacy but are close enough to walk to one another if you book with a group.

We do not currently provide wifi. There is plenty of cell service so you can use a hot spot. There are also several places to get wifi if you need it like gilly coffee shop, or starbucks.

Some accomodations also have gas or charcoal style grills.

What if it rains?

We encourage guests to be adventurous and optimistic when rain is in the forecast. The tents are very pleasant, dry and relaxing in rainy weather. Raindrops and thunderstorms make for a natural sound machine and provide guests with an opprotunity to rest, read, cuddle and nap. We provide an umbrella and the covered porch will keep you dry while you enjoy the scenary.
